Letter-writing is a dead art.
The other night I had a lot of pent-up feelings and you know what? An email just wasn't gonna do it.
So I ended up writing a letter to one of my really good friends in Dubuque who I NEVER get to see anymore.
There's something so therapeutic about actually taking your hand and scribing what you're thinking. It's like your feelings flow through the pencil onto your paper and out of your mind.
Let's see Apple try to duplicate that. :)
So anyways, I was so pleased with myself (especially with my ability to address and stamp a letter without any help from anyone. What a big girl I am!), that I decided that I want a pen pal.
Now, of course it all sounds good in theory. I just find a little student pen pal website and draw a name and BAM! I'll send em' a cute little charismatic letter and suddenly, if my pen pal is a girl, we'll become long lost best friends. And if it's a boy, we'll fall in love. Perfect story.
So I log on to the internet searching for my fairytale.
But it all looks pretty sketchy.
See, on all of these websites, you either have to pay to send letters to little kids in Africa, or you have to create a profile ALLLL about you.
I don't want my love story to end in rape and murder, okay?
So I guess I'm to have to find my pen pal some other way. :)
In the mean time, you readers can be my online pen pals! :)
....which pretty much includes my sister, my cousin, and my Computer Lit. teacher.
Yay.... :)
Love,
Bailey
