It has opened the waves of communication. Here's a few reasons why:
- It revolutionized the world of communication. When the telephone was invented, you could stop waiting days for letters. Instead, just dial the phone!
- It was the gateway to other things we "couldn't live without" today: Cell phones, computers, etc.
- It changed the way we communicate itself. Communication has become increasingly informal as the years go on. Instead of, "Dear Madame Bijou," it's now, "Heeeeey, what's up, B-dawg?!" Okay, that may not be a good thing. But... it's a fact.
I think we all owe Alexander Graham Bell a big thanks.
In the words of Lady Gaga:
"Call all you want, but there's no one home. You're not gonna reach my telephone."

Oh sister! you are so clever! :)
